Little Maddie knows how to enjoy a good car ride.
Trips are best enjoyed with good music and the car is no different from the shower in that we all sing and dance away like no one’s watching.
But while everyone is guilty, not all of us have the timing to dance along to the beat.
It takes a certain inclination to music for the human body to move at the right moment.
There are adults who can’t, and yet this child can.
It was a nice cruise down the road, the engine humming happily with Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” blasting through the car’s speakers.
Excellent choice too as it is an awesome tune.
The song seems to be a child friendly version as it censors some of the words, which is actually great since there are kids in the car.
Maddie looks a bit bored, even sleepy, but when the part that goes “Girls hit your hallelujah (wooh)” come on, Maddie perks up and raises both hands, mouting the wooh along.
This little girl’s got the perfect timing!
And when Bruno starts with “Cause Uptown Funk gon’ give it to you”, little Maddie starts to bop her head happily, breaking in to a little smile as she’s now beginning to enjoy her moment.
Then when the song’s tempo builds to, “Saturday night, and we in the spot. Don’t believe me, just watch, come on!“, she breaks out in to a little dance perfectly in sync to the music!
She’s not holding back either, the only restraint being her booster seat and belt.
Maddie’s companions in the car are enjoying her little dance, amazed that she knows the right spots for dancing. She’s great!
It’s as if Maddie’s the one going, “Don’t believe me, just watch!“
I know of a few adults who couldn’t dance at the exact right time for this song.
So Maddie’s certainly got that gift from Terpsichore. Let’s hope she continues to pursue her passion for music and dance.
She’s got awesome taste too.
The song was written by Mark Ronson, and it was almost scrapped when he and other writers began to feel frustrated as it began to feel forced.
Glad they continued with it, huh?
This mega hit is performed in a sing-rapping style filled with metaphors, arrogance, charisma, and fun.
It’s funk, soul, pop, fashion, and arrogance all blended in to a catchy beat so easy to follow and so much fun to dance to.
Bruno Mars’ charisma and vocals certainly tok this song to the top. Imagine someone else singing it.
Just wouldn’t work! Bruno took the very essence of the song, bathed himself in it, and then showed the world why he’s one of the best selling artists of the last decade.
Maddie knows it too. She’s got over 13 million views just for a “Ride to Harlem, Hollywood, Jackson, Mississippi.”
Bet you this little girl’s going to make it big as a dancer someday.
