It’s our responsibility to teach our children right from wrong, but it’s hard when they’re young and can’t quite see the line that separates “good” and “bad” behavior.

Raising toddlers, in general, is very challenging. Aside from the mess and the responsibility of taking care of them, we also have to deal with their meltdowns.

There is, however, something that we can count on when we have toddlers – sometimes their frustration comes across as pretty humorous.

Another thing about toddlers – they’re honest. They will let us know what they are feeling regardless if they are sleepy, hungry, or even upset.

Dad Eric Palonen uploaded a video five years ago starring one such toddler, and it went viral. With more than 10M views, the video captured the hearts of many and made us laugh too.

In the said video, we see a 2-year old girl named Josie. According to her dad, Eric, this little girl is a D.I.T or Diva in Training. If you watch the whole video, you will understand why.

In the video, we see little Josie walking away from her aunt. Josie had enough, and she wants to let them know that she’s upset. According to our diva in training, her aunt, Mimi, said a very ‘bad word’!

Oh no, this is not good! No wonder little Josie was so upset!

Because of this, she now refuses to talk to her. She wasn’t even afraid of letting them know what she felt at that moment.

The way Josie talks is so cute and a bit funny too, but in a way, it’s admirable. This little child knows what she’s feeling, and she’s not afraid to let the people around her know.

By teaching your child to express their feelings and emotions, you are affirming your child’s voice.

You are teaching them not to be afraid of expressing their feelings, and that you are there to guide them along the way. Listening to them and acknowledging their feelings is also as important.

As we can see, Mimi and the other adults around Josie in the video are acknowledging her feelings. They were even asking why she felt that way.

Of course, we are all wondering what Mimi said. It must have been really bad to upset a very young girl like this.

“I’m not talking to Mimi because I’m really upset,” said Josie.

Apparently, Mimi said a “dirty” word and Josie didn’t like it one bit! According to our little diva in training, it’s not funny and she’s upset about it. You can hear Mimi and the gang laughing while trying to reason out that it truly isn’t a forbidden word. Josie, however, is very determined to let everyone know that she’s really upset.

“When my mommy and my daddy pick me up, I’m gonna tell them right away and I’m gonna go home, take a rest, then I’m gonna be upset.”

She’s very serious about her plan too, though we can’t help but hear them laugh at how cute Josie is.

“We have a fun, open household with a lot of conversation, humor, and music. Some things Josie is allowed to say, providing it is in the right context and not used with ill-will,” Eric said in his interview with ABC News.

What do you think about this cute diva in training? The word that Mimi said may not be a bad word, but it’s nice to know that the people around Josie know how to acknowledge her feelings and even talk to her about them.
