“Carol of the Bells” is a hauntingly beautiful Christmas song composed in 1984 by Mykola Leontovych. The melody and lyrics of the well-loved Christmas track has been used across genres since. It has also been used numerous times in movies and theatrical performances, particularly in ballet.

A young, talented violinist by the name of Karolina Protsenko recently shared her version of the Christmas carol on her YouTube channel. Just in time for the holidays, the video shows the musician gracefully dancing across the room while playing the notes of the familiar tune on her violin.

Donning a black, sleeveless leotard tucked in a periwinkle skirt and toe shoes, the attractive violinist was joined by dancers from her ballet class, all sporting the same neat ensemble. As she played, the ballerinas bounded lightly across the floor in formation and danced to the beat of the song.

As one of the most artistic and captivating dance forms, ballet paired beautifully with the classical song.

One would expect a violinist to stand in the center and sway to the beat of the song while playing, but the incredible musician surpassed expectations and showed once more what she is truly capable of. Karolina Protsenko played with ease and moved in time with her fellow dancers.
