This video by Abreuer15 on YouTube has over 42 million views for good reason. The description simply says, “Lily playing with our little baby girl.” That is pretty self-explanatory as you’ll see.
It’s a Doberman playing with a baby named Addison. A very jolly baby as a matter of fact.
This baby girl has the biggest smile on her face. The Doberman seems to be having a great time making the baby laugh. And laugh she does. For every movement the dog does, she lets out a squeal of obvious joy.
She’s on her knees trying to maintain her balance, which for a baby is a challenge, but her laughter is the tipping point here. Literally. When the dog approaches her, she erupts in hysterical fits.
The baby topples over and attempts to control herself amidst her giggles.
The dog knows she’s got the child’s attention. The Doberman jumps and walks around then squats down appearing to pounce at her but only because she wants another amusing reaction.
There’s a reason why they are chosen for police and security work. Dobermans are smart and sharp which makes them ideal for such work.
This Doberman is a welcome surprise among the many stereotypes associated with this breed.
Often depicted as police dogs or ferocious guard dogs, the Doberman Pinscher has an athletic build, a sleek coat, and regal appearance.
This powerful-looking dog originated in Germany around the late 19th century and was originally bred as guard dogs. They are fast, muscular, and extremely loyal.
This lucky baby girl has a Doberman on her side. By the looks of it, this dog will go to great lengths just to make her laugh. Best believe that’s how she will protect this child too.
According to AKC, dogs are extremely social creatures and have that “pack mentality”. And since they belong to a family, that becomes their “pack”. Canines are smitten by babies as they can form strong connections due to the amount of time they end up spending together.
That loyalty to the pack and their bond with the young makes for a perfect combination of love and protection. Listen to her chuckle and chortle! She loves her big guardian.
They have so much space to play around in and the floor is carpeted, which makes it perfect for them to roll around. This baby can’t help herself.
Her Doberman’s antics have become to much for her. She dissolves in to more laughter, rolls her head back, and… down she goes! She gets back up and continues playing with the Doberman, and this is one friendship that will endure for the rest of their lives.
It’s been a few years since this first video of Lily and Addison was shared, and they’re still as close as can be.
Their mom shares lots of videos of them on Tiktok, and it’s adorable to watch them playing together still. They also added another dog to the family — a little Golden Retriever named Obi. We’re sure he’ll make his human siblings laugh just as much as Lily does!
