Finding out you’re pregnant is just the beginning of a long, emotional journey and you never know where it will take you.

Apart from the basics, like the first doctor’s appointments and the anxiety they cause- especially during the first trimester- there are other concerns as well, like who you are going to tell first and when.

Although there is definitely no rule when it comes to letting your friends and family know you’re having a baby, couples usually tend to wait for at least a couple of months before they tell their environment that they’re expecting.

That’s because it takes some weeks before a healthy pregnancy is confirmed, the baby’s heartbeat is traceable, and of course, it takes time for the new information to sink in before future parents are ready to share the big news with the world.

And what about grandparents-to-be? Do you tell them earlier or do you wait until the third month of your pregnancy?

Well, that’s up to you, but many couples whose parents live in different cities or even counties wait until they all gather in one place and that’s when they break the news to them.

Of course, the current situation and the restrictions this pandemic has brought about, don’t allow for such moments of family time anymore. That’s why it is more crucial than even that we look back at moments like the ones captured in the video to remind us that life will get back to normal sooner or later.

Jenna and her husband welcomed to town Jenna’s parents last summer in one of their casual visits. However, what they didn’t know was that there was nothing casual or ordinary about this visit. Jenna’s parents were in for the biggest surprise ever!

Jenna Carley, stand-up comedian and actress, was pregnant at the time but she hadn’t told her parents yet.

During their visit, they all went to take a quick look at the renovations in Jenna and her husband’s home, but when her parents entered the second bedroom they saw something they will never forget.

“They thought they were just coming to town for a quick visit to see our house renovation progress, but things changed when they walked in the second bedroom,” Jenna wrote in the description of the video she uploaded on YouTube.

First her mom and then her dad were shocked at the revelation! They just couldn’t believe their eyes!

The grandparents-to-be gave the expecting couple big hugs and wanted to know everything about the pregnancy. Jenna’s mom almost burst into tears when her daughter told her they had already heard the heartbeat.

But that was not the end of it.

The initial sign in the room read “Carley Baby February 2020”, but then Jenna brought in a piece of cardboard that was meant to change everything! She used it to cover the “y” in “baby” and the sign now read “Babies”!

Jenna’s parents were shocked once again! While her mom fell on her knees and her eyes were filled with tears of joy, her dad said “You can’t handle two!” and that was one of the funniest parts of the video.

The grandparents-to-be were curious to know if the twins were conceived naturally and how the couple felt about it. They kept hugging and kissing and sobbing, which is a heartwarming thing to watch.

Today, the Carley twins are already 7 months old and the family couldn’t be happier -or busier for that matter!

Make sure you have a tissue around when you watch, because the video will make you burst into tears!
